James M. Parkin

Jim Graduated from Southampton University, with a Bachelor of Laws. He trained in Doncaster and was Admitted as a Solicitor in June, 1980. Jim has successfully undertaken well over 30,000 Industrial Deafness Claims against British Coal, and other major employers. Jim has great experience and expertise in pursuing Personal Injury and Industrial Disease Claims, to include Vibration White Finger. Jim was a Lead Solicitor in the British Coal Respiratory Disease Litigation. He has had the conduct of a great many Trials throughout Yorkshire, as well as dealing with Appeals in the Court of Appeal and House of Lords. Jim derives particular satisfaction from the fact that the majority of his Clients are introduced through personal recommendations from his former Clients. It is Jim’s experience that if a Client leaves Wakefield Law, believing he has done a first class job, then his colleagues, friends and neighbours are going to be his next Clients.

David A. Russell

David A. Russell

David Graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1973, having been awarded a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, and thereupon undertook his professional examinations at the College of Law in Guildford. David served his Articles of Clerkship at Herbert Smith & Co., in the City of London. He was Admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in 1975. In 1997 David was awarded a Master of Laws with Distinction in Advanced Litigation, by the University of Nottingham Trent. David is a Specialist, with over four decades of experience in the conduct of high profile and complex Litigation. David has also appeared in Statutory Judicial Inquiries, and related investigative proceedings.
